Overall console sales over the holidays came in as follows: Nintendo sold over 2 million Wiis in November 2008 while Microsoft's Xbox 360 sold about 800,000 in the same period. On the portable gaming front, Nintendo sold about 1.5 million DS systems while Sony's PSP sold about 400,000.

Rock Band allows players to experience a "wild journey to rock stardom". There are many versions of the game including features "Kung Fu Fighting!"

The best selling games in November were Super Smash Bros. Brawl, WiiFit and Mario Kart. Over at Microsoft and Sony some best-sellers include GTA IV (Grand Theft Auto) and Fallout 3.

On Xbox, the "New Xbox Experience" system update has tripled sales over Xbox Live Arcade. Releases of Gears of War 2 and Fable II also created more demand for most gamers.

Call of Duty franchise continues to score on both Xbox and PS3 with Call of Duty: World at War selling 1.4 million copies for Xbox while this game for PS3 sold about 600,000. Resistance 2 also selling well.

Black Ops will soon be replaced by the new COD.
